Ingredients for Asian BBQ Bacon Wrapped Meatballs:
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 1 tsp. Pepper
- 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp. minced garlic
- 1/2 cup seasoned panko
- 3 tbsp. Smokin’Orange BBQ Sauce
- 1 egg
- 1 Package of bacon
- 2 tbsp. orange marmalade
Mix all of the above ingredients together to until it is completely combine (minus the bacon and marmalade); do not over-mix.
Cut bacon strips in half. Place uncooked bacon strip around each meatball, seam down on a nonstick cookie sheet (or use cooking spray on tin foil to achieve same result). You can use a toothpick to secure bacon, but it is not necessary so long as your meatball isn’t too large (aim for golf-ball size).
Once all of your meatballs are put together, mix 1 cup of Smokin’Orange BBQ Sauce with 2 tbsp. sweet orange marmalade. Baste each meatball once.
Bake at 350* for 45 minutes or until the internal temp. reaches 160*F. Re-baste with BBQ sauce mixture about 10 minutes prior to finishing so the sauce caramelizes and gets that delicious, sticky coating.
