My Chili recipe made tonight from produce, rosemary olive oil, tomato sauce and fiery mango pepper sauce all bought from the Corey Ave Market today.

1 1/2 ground turkey

1 medium chopped

1 green pepper chopped

4 garlic cloves chopped

4 or 5 plum tomatoes

1/2 to 1 small butternut squash, microwave for 3 minutes so you can peel, seed and chop easier

3 to 4 tablespoons of chili powder

1 tablespoon cumin powder

1 tablespoon of coriander

1/2 cup of mango pepper sauce, more if you like it really spicy

2 cups of tomato sauce

4 cups water

1 can kidney beans

1 cup corn

Salt, pepper to taste, I don't measure

Garnish with:

Yogurt or sour cream

Chopped Cilantro

Shredded cheddar cheese

Chopped Scallions

Toasted corn tortillas

Brown turkey in 2 to 3 tablespoons of olive oil, I don't measure and then add onion and pepper and soften for 5 to 10 minutes or so. Then add garlic for 1 minute

Then add chopped tomatoes with  sauce and water

Add all seasoning and fiery mango pepper sauce and cook for 15 minutes or so to meld.

Then add the butternut squash and cook for 1 hour.

Then add beans and corn and meld again for 10 to 15 minutes until ready to eat.

Serve with the garnishes and tortillas and salad.
